UKS Mahavidyalaya Dakra Established in 1990 for higher Education by cooperation of some Social Leader, Worker and Contribution of the CCL to the Welfare of the Women, and Financial Backward classes. It is 70 KM far from Ranchi and Nearby Mandar College (40 KM). It situated in the heart of North Karnpura Coal Area. The founder Principal Damodar Singh and some Professor started classes in a small part of Vidya Vikas Kendra (H/S) High School, Dakra. At present UKS Mahavidyalaya has a Spacious Building and a rich Library & Laboratory for Students.
